| OPINION FROM THE COMMON MAN |
This is a new column designed to stay as free from taking sides with either the Republicans or the Democrats and address life as we see it and live it from out of the beltway. While the philosophy of Government is important, where the "rubber hits the road" is where we who are not a part of the "ruling elect" must make the hard and difficult decisions needed in order to survive. Just as when you take a prescription for an ailment, you always have the concern about "side effects", likewise when our elected officials make decisions which favor one group of people or solve one problem there are always "side effects" that we the common man feel and have to live with. As an example, we are spending a lot of money that we don't have in order to make sure that we can stay affloat as a nation. The side effect of that is that someone has to pay the money back. While it may not affect me that much it certainly will affect my children and grandchildren. So the reason for this column is to hopefully stimulate new thinking among those that are in power to make decisions and to help them realize what the results are for the common man who must live with their decisions. If we are a country of the people and for the people then this column will fit in nicely with how we were established as a country. Stay tuned!! This column will change each week on Monday. Have a great weekend America. Talk to you soon! Charles Love - Publisher of the Washington DC News |
